Before a vasectomy reversal procedure, a man must face a number of test and visits with their doctor. The doctor will test their sperm to ensure that it is mobile and still capable of fertilizing an egg. To preform these tests the man must provide a sample of their sperm. If the sperm is not viable, the doctor will suggest that the man not go forward with the surgery. They may also have to undergo a complete physical, and prove they are capable of paying for the surgery.
