Surgeons who can do liposuction
Liposuction is usually done by surgeons experienced in several areas of surgery. Thorough knowledge of dermatology, pharmacology, cosmetic surgery and cardiology is essential. A plastic surgeon need not necessarily be a surgeon who can do liposuction.
The patient should clarify with the surgeon on the number of cases he has taken up on liposuction and the larger the number the safer one can feel. Surgeons report that there have been very few or hardly any deaths during the procedure especially under local anesthesia. Cost should not be the deciding factor for choice of surgeon but quality and experience.
