Use Sun block instead of a the Daily Moisturizer

Is it a bad idea to use the Sun block instead of a the Daily Moisturizer? If yes, then what is the reason? I just want to know whether it is okay to use sunscreen daily instead of daily moisturizer that has SPF 15 Thanks
