Getting Back To Life
I found that medical assistance was the biggest help in my overcoming panic attack disorder. What I did not realize was the extent that my attacks had had in my approach to life. Over the years I had developed an almost rabid aversion to being in crowded places. Throw in darkness and I would never go there. I experienced extreme discomfort if the car I was in became involved in a traffic slow down or traffic jam. I had tried, initially, to limit my movements to side streets and then to walking. It has taken a counselor more sessions than I care to count to help me face those phobias get back into my life.
