The New Ontario Colorectal Cancer Screening Program
In collaboration with Cancer Care Ontario, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care have launched a colorectal cancer screening program in Jan 2007. The main motive of this program is to develop the new and advanced techniques of colon rectal cancer screening tests and save the maximum number of lives.
Through this program, the doctors can refer their patients to the Montfort Hospital, Queensway Carleton Hospital, and Ottawa Hospital, using a form.
The respective hospital of your preference will receive and recognize colonoscopy referrals only for those with positive FOBT results and for those who have first degree family members with colorectal cancer.
