Parovirous Infection Aka The 5th Disease

Parovirous infection is a very common disease among children. The disease is commonly referred to as 5th disease. As the name suggests, this disease is the fifth one in a group of diseases that cause rashes on the children's skin. The disease has symptoms like a sore throat, a flu-runny 5th disease nose and headache. Usually the symptoms are so mild that they are almost unnoticeable in the beginning. But after some days the rashes start to appear. They first appear on the face and then on the rest of the body. These rashes start to fade in around 2 to 5 days. The experts at Mayo Clinic suggest that the rashes do not need any treatment. However in case of anemia the patient may need a blood transfusion.
