Finally - a move in the right direction
I was a complete neophyte when it came to dieting and I tried a few of the big names before I figured out what would and would not work. The trouble with the popular diets is that they are the focus of some of the most aggressive consumer advertising and high pressure sales techniques of any consumer product out there. And, of course, at the moment of your ballooning to new highs you are also at your most vulnerable. After several false starts I decided i knew what I needed. It was just a question of buckling down and doing it! Basically I had to eat less and exercise more. Pretty straightforward and easy to say but not easy to accomplish. I started then to keep better track of what i was doing. Daily weigh ins. Tracking. Food diary. On the dinner plate, one third less. Half the ice cream. Half the soda. Three quarters of the bread. I went to the gym and picked out a personal trainer. I go to him three times a week. At first, it was really hard on all fronts. But now I’m getting to a point where I can see a difference on the scale, where I feel better and finally - wonder of wonders - where my trainer said he noticed a difference. Now that’s getting somewhere.
