Is Chocolate Beneficial to Your Health?

I admit it. I’m addicted to chocolate. It can be almost any kind of chocolate from Reese’s peanut butter cups to Lindt’s 85% pure cocoa dark chocolate. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to find out that chocolate was not really harmful to my health. Well, it’s true. If you eat the right kind of chocolate and in tiny portions.

The aforementioned peanut butter cups would not be among the healthy chocolate selections. However, small amounts of dark chocolate are filled with antioxidants and are good for you. These are the same types of antioxidants as might be found in red wine, for example. (Yes, red wine can also be healthy!)

Just be sure that you keep your portion size small. Take a small bite and savor every ounce of the flavor. Let it melt in your mouth. A small piece of the richest dark chocolate can be very satisfying to the chocolate lover, and thankfully, healthy.
