Passive Smoking Limited By Nationwide Bans

Over the past decade or so the dangers of passive smoking have caused legislation to ban the smoking of cigarettes in most public places. Practically the entire nation has instituted limits on where a person can smoke, including bars, restaurants and most indoor facilities. Hangout spots that were once notorious for smokers to be able to enjoy their cigarettes, such as bowling alleys and nightclubs, have become practically obsolete from "lighting up". When these laws were first set forth there was of course an uprising of smoker's-rights groups who did not agree with the legislation which they felt was an effort to force people to  quit smoking. However, the majority of people, including the owners of public restaurants and other places, were happy to have a cleaner, smoke-free environment for their customers.
