The Early Menopause Symptoms

Menopause is due to the cessation of ovarian functions as a result of the gradual depletion and eventually, almost complete disappearance of ovarian follicles. By the age of 50 ovarian follicles disappear, the few remaining ones are no longer sensitive to stimulations by the pituitary hormones (glands based in the brain) and the ovaries lose their potential to produce the hormone estrogen.

Besides hot flushes, early menopause symptoms include menstrual irregularities. She will start missing her periods, they may become heavier and eventually they will stop.

Menstruation just doesn’t suddenly stop, she will skip a month then she has a period then she skips four months then the period comes back. We do not consider menopause until she has actually missed a period for one year.
