The Fast Track One-Day Detox Diet

Detox types, lengths and strengths vary. If done correctly and regularly, a detox can remove toxic chemicals, residues and preservatives from your body. A registered dietician recently lectured about detox, focusing on the new book “The Fast
Track One-Day Detox Diet” by Ann Louise Gittleman.

In her book, Gittleman takes readers through an 11-day plan to completely detox your body, during which they eat certain foods for seven days followed by a one-day fast, followed by the introduction of particular foods. During the fast, detoxers can drink Gittleman’s “delicious, spiced miracle juice designed to stave off hunger pangs, boost metabolism, keep blood sugar steady and flush toxins out of your system.”

The drink includes cranberry, lemon and orange juice, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger.
